Behemoth Mindset was founded by Darryl and Shema’n Jackson. While reading the Book of Job, they were motivated by God’s words.In the beginning of the Book of Job, Job is a wealthy man, “he is blameless and upright,” (Job 1:1) he has a large family and vast flocks. Over the course of two days and being tested by satan, Job’s family was killed, along with his sheep and servants; and his skin was plagued with sores. Job was left with nothing. Job began to wonder why this misfortune had occurred. Job sat with friends over seven days who attempted to comfort him. During these conversations, Job damned the day he was born and wished that his birth had been obscured in darkness. His friends suggested that there was some evil he must have done to provoke God in order for these bad things to have happened to him. One friend even suggested that Job’s children brought their deaths upon themselves.God intervened, commanding Job to be brave, and explained various features of his creations. One of those creations, the greatest creation, being the BEHEMOTH. In Job 40:15-24, God says: “Take a look at Behemoth, which I made, just as I made you… See its powerful loins and the muscles of its belly. Its tail is as strong as a cedar… Its bones are tubes of bronze. Its limbs are bars of iron. It is a prime example of God’s handiwork and only its Creator can threaten it… It is not disturbed by the raging river, not concerned when the swelling Jordan rushes around it. No one can catch it off guard or put a ring in its nose and lead it away.”
